  • Perplexity’s Comet browser gives AI access to a lot of information. Maybe a dangerous amount: research from competitors at Brave unveiled major security flaws in the browser - source

    • Their team created a reddit comment containing a hidden prompt that could convince Comet to share end users’ personal data. The prompt would be ingested whenever browser users hit ‘summarize’ on a reddit page containing the comment.

  • Nvidia is investing up to $100 billion into OpenAI, becoming a major shareholder and chip supplier to deepen their partnership in AI infrastructure. – source

  • xAI struck a deal with the U.S. General Services Administration to provide its Grok chatbot services to federal agencies, expanding AI adoption in government workflows. The deal mirrors similar agreements made with Google & OpenAI. – source

    • In parallel, xAI filed a lawsuit accusing OpenAI of trade secret theft, alleging that former staff transferred proprietary information. – source

    • Meta’s open-source Llama models were also approved for GSA usage.

  • CoreWeave expanded its OpenAI deal by $6.5 billion, bringing their total collaboration to over $22 billion, reinforcing the compute supply pipeline for OpenAI’s scaling. – source

  • Databricks and OpenAI forged a new partnership: OpenAI’s models will be embedded into Databricks’ analytics and agent tools, with projected revenue of ~$100 million from the integration. – source
