• OpenAI acquires Jony Ive’s AI device startup io for $6.5B, marking its largest acquisition to date. The deal brings Ive and his design firm LoveFrom into OpenAI’s fold, aiming to develop a new generation of AI-integrated hardware products. – source

• Google unveils Gemini 2.5 Pro at I/O 2025, introducing advanced reasoning capabilities and a “Deep Think” feature that simulates human-like deliberation, along with a slew of integration points including Autos and Glasses. – source

  • Also announced at I/O - Google introduces ‘AI Mode’ in Search, offering conversational responses, real-time data integration, and personalized results by accessing Gmail and Drive, marking a significant shift in search experience. – source

Fortnite has just made its way back into the iOS app store in the US after 5 years, following a landmark legal ruling that prevents Apple from blocking apps for providing their own proprietary ways to purchase content. – source
