• California passed SB 243, requiring AI chatbots to clearly disclose when a user is interacting with an AI, not a human. Annual reporting on mental health safeguards is also mandated. – source 

• Italian news publishers have lodged a formal complaint with Italy’s regulator over Google’s AI Overviews, claiming the summaries slashed referral traffic and violate EU rules. – source
