  • Googleā€™s announced the Pixel 9ā€™s new ā€˜Reimagineā€ AI photo editor, which is able to instantly create stunningly realistic visual edits to existing photos. The Vergeā€™s takeaway? ā€œItā€™s also never been easier to circulate misleading photos quickly.ā€ - source

  • A telecoms firm that allowed thousands of robocalls to be sent by a client using AI to mimic President Bidenā€™s voice has been dealt a $1M fine. Political consultant Steve Kramer, who orchestrated the calls, still faces up to a $6 million fine. He says he ā€œwasnā€™t trying to influence the outcome of the primary, but he rather wanted to highlight the potential dangers of AI and spur lawmakers into action.ā€ - source 

  • OpenAI announced a deal with CondĆ© Nast, continuing a trend in striking direct deals with large publishers for AI usage. The move follows a similar deal with CondĆ© Nast sister company Reddit, which OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is a major shareholder in. - source

  • Leading healthcare software vendor Epic Systems announced ā€œ100s of new AI featuresā€ in the works at its annual keynote. Epic promises to use AI to significantly reduce redundancies and paperwork in healthcare. - source

  • DropBox acquired AI scheduling tool Reclaim.ai. The tool, which was backed in part by Calendly, integrates with Google calendar, helps users manage their time and speed up scheduling with AI. - source
